Robert Passini is a director and screenwriter in Vienna. He studied at the Vienna Film School, Department of Screenwriting and Directing (master class with Fritz Lehner) and graduated in 2009. Since 2005 he has been working as a freelance director.
The main focus of his work is the expressive and visually powerful realisation of fictional stories, which contain epic elements in addition to the dramatic narrative structure. When telling stories he is interested in strong, often female main characters and their inner conflicts.
Robert Passini is currently working on the script for his first feature-length film.

Film art is my passion because it awakens associations, stirs up, brings personal or long-forgotten issues to the surface, enchants and inspires. Telling stories in a convincing and relatable way, turning characters into role models and opening up interesting and unusual perspectives are my main focuses in film directing.
